Bookings: Terms & Conditions

  1. Romantic Experiences is a booking agent for companies that provide experiences & adventures to the public. Romantic Experiences is not the provider of these experiences & adventures.
  2. Bookings made through Romantic Experiences are non-refundable in whole or in part however they are fully flexible and may in most cases be exchanged to be used towards another Romantic Experiences adventure or purchase.
  3. Changing your booking at any time will incur a $50 per person administration fee plus any relevant fees from the experience/adventure operator. Bookings may also be transferred to another person and will also incur a $50 per person administration fee. Changes to your booking require a minimum of 31 days written notice prior to the booked date. No changes are permitted within 31 days of the date of your booking.
  4. A transaction fee of $3.75 will apply to each booking. A $25 fee will apply to any credit card charge backs.
  5. If you fail to show at the booked time, or on the booked day, of your experience or adventure we cannot offer a refund or credit.
  6. Romantic Experiences and its experience and adventure operators reserve the right to cancel an experience or adventure at any time in the event of adverse weather conditions, equipment failure or other reasonable and unforeseen circumstances. In such an event, an alternative date will be arranged with the Participant. No refund will be available.
  7. Romantic Experiences will not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage incurred or suffered by the participant during the experience or adventure.
  8. In the event the experience or adventure is cancelled or postponed for any reason, the participant agrees to reschedule another date or, where possible, exchange for another experience or adventure. Bookings made through Romantic Experiences are non-refundable in whole or in part.
  9. The Participant pledges that no legal action will be initiated by it against Romantic Experiences , its clients, its agents, employees, and/or personnel, due to any accident or injury sustained during the course of undertaking an experience or adventure booked through Romantic Experiences .

    Gift Vouchers & Gift Certificates

    Validity

    Experience specific and membership vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Gift Certificates with a dollar value are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

    Redemption

    To redeem your Romantic Experiences Voucher or Certificate, please complete a Booking/Order Form on our website romanticexperiences.com.au. We prefer if you give us two week’s notice when booking an experience or adventure.

    It is the Voucher or Certificate holder's responsibility to ensure the voucher or certificate is redeemed before the expiry date of their voucher or certificate. Vouchers or Certificates are not redeemable for cash and cannot be redeemed to purchase another Voucher or certificate. A transaction fee of $3.75 will apply to each voucher. A $25 fee will apply to any credit card charge backs.

    Extending the expiry date

    We understand that things do pop up, or time can pass you by. If you forget to redeem your voucher there are some options to extend the value of your voucher.

    Not Expired - Extension Required

    If your voucher hasn't expired, we can extend your voucher for an additional 3 months for an administration fee of $50. An extension can only be made once.


    Voucher Expired - within 30 days of expiry

    If your voucher has been expired for 30 days or less we can reactivate your voucher for a fee of $50 for one month from the expiry date.

    Voucher Expired - 31 days or more past expiry

    If your voucher has been expired for 31 days or more the voucher cannot be extended under any circumstances.

    Lost Gift Vouchers

    For gift vouchers purchased online

    If a Romantic Experiences Gift Voucher is received and subsequently lost, the recipient may be eligible to have a replacement voucher emailed to them.

    Conditions for replacement of Romantic Experiences Gift Vouchers:

    1. The voucher must still be valid and not yet exchanged or used.
    2. Proof of purchase must be provided; for online purchases either an order number, purchaser’s full name of purchaser’s email address
    3. Romantic Experiences must be able to correctly verify you as the original recipient.

    Please note it is the voucher recipient’s responsibility to obtain and provide Romantic Experiences with all required verification details. Failure to do so will mean no replacement voucher can be issued.

    Transferring your voucher

    You can transfer your voucher to another person. Please call Romantic Experiences and request a Transfer Form to be sent to you, as we need written consent.

    Flexibility

    The value of your Voucher or Certificate is fully flexible, and is transferable towards any Romantic Experiences package or product available.

    Discontinuing an item purchased

    Romantic Experiences reserves the right to discontinue the sale of any experience or adventure purchased on a Voucher, but agrees to replace the item discontinued with any other experience to the same value or refund the purchase amount in full.

    Refunds

    Romantic Experiences vouchers or certificates are non-refundable.

    Lowest Price Guarantee

    We guarantee that the participant will pay the lowest price online. If the participant is able to find a lower online advertised price for the same experience or adventure run by the same operator elsewhere online then Romantic Experiences will endeavour to beat it.

    Delivery

    If you choose an email voucher it will be sent immediately to your designated email address.

    If you choose a gift pack it will be sent via Australia Express Post within 48hrs of your order being placed and should reach it's destination within 1-2 business days following despatch. Your Gift Pack will be sent in a plain non branded express post envelope so as to conceal any surprise. The envelope dimensions are (height =200mm, width = 180mm and depth =10mm) and therefore will fit most letterboxes.

    It is the responsibility of the purchaser to correctly address the gift vouchers, whether by email, post or courier. Romantic Experiences cannot be held responsible for any damaged, missing or delayed orders, where incorrect or incomplete delivery details (address and, if relevant, appropriate delivery instructions) have been provided.

    A redelivery charge will apply (depending on the delivery method chosen) if the item is lost after receipt, if the recipient is unavailable for receipt of delivery, if the delivery address is incorrect or if there is no safe place to leave the item.

    Gift Voucher Delivery via Email

    If you choose an email voucher it will be sent immediately to your designated email address.

    Romantic Experiences is not liable or responsible for any loss suffered as a result of a Gift Voucher via email being blocked by filters or firewalls, or where the incorrect email address has been entered by the purchaser. If the recipient does not receive the email Gift Voucher, please contact us immediately on 1300 947 747 to send vouchers to an alternative email address. Alternatively, we can change the delivery method which would incur the normal delivery fee of that service.

    Delivery via Express Post

    Next day delivery is only guaranteed if the delivery address is within Australia Post's express post network. To view this list, please visit the Australia Post website.

    Delivery via Courier
    Australia

    We use various contracted courier companies. Romantic Experiences accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss or delay as a result of using this service. Delivery charges are non-refundable.

    Courier delivery is only available to metropolitan areas of capital cities, excluding Perth and Darwin. Couriers deliver between 9am and 5pm (Mon-Fri) and specific times cannot be guaranteed.

    Same day delivery is only available within the Sydney Metropolitan area and must be placed before 12:00pm AEST to guarantee same day delivery.

    Orders for interstate couriers need to be placed before 12.00pm AEST two working days prior to the required delivery date. We make no guarantees with regards to delivery dates and times. For Corporate Orders Only - should you have a deadline delivery prior to 11am, the additional cost of a priority service courier will be charged.

    A redelivery charge of $20 will apply if the item is lost after receipt, if the recipient is unavailable for receipt of delivery, if the delivery address is incorrect or if there is no safe place to leave the item.

    Romantic Experiences accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss or delay as a result of using Australia Post’s service. We can provide you with the Express Post tracking code to contact Australia Post in the event you need to locate the whereabouts of your delivery.

    All the material on this website is subject to the copyright of Romantic Experiences or its thirds party licensors. You must not reproduce any of the material contained on this website except that you may download a copy of this website to the local hard drive of the computer. Used to access the site, and print extracts of the website, but only for personal use.

    You are not permitted to copy any of the material on this website or otherwise incorporate it into or store in any other website, electronic retrieval system, publication or other work in any form; or provide a link to this website from another website without Romantic Experiences prior written consent.

    Collection of Information via Website Activity

    For statistical purposes we collection information on our website activity (such as the number of users who visit the web site, the date and time of visits, the number of pages viewed, what country and which web browser has been used to access the site and when entering our site from another web site, the address of that website) through the use of ‘cookies’. This information on its own does not identify an individual but it does provide us with statistics that we can use to analyse and improve you experience on our website in the future.

    Customer Bookings

    We request information from customers prior to their making a booking. A customer must provide contact information (like name and address). If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to contact the user. This information will be saved for future bookings.

    We also request financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). No credit card details are retained under any circumstances.

    The customer will also be given the option to sign up for our email newsletter.

    Email Newsletter

    If a visitor wishes to subscribe to our newsletters, we ask for contact information such as name and email address which is either gathered prior to their finalising a booking, or in our Email section.

    By becoming a subscriber you consent to receive from us our email newsletter, any special offers or site update information that we think may be of interest to you. We will not share your information with any third parties.

    Choice/Opt Out

    Our members are given the opportunity to ‘opt out’ of receiving emailed information or other correspondence, by simply clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email. To resubscribe simple go to the Email section of the website and re-provide your details.

    Sharing

    We will share aggregated demographic information with our suppliers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify an individual person. We partner with other parties (i.e. activity providers) to supply specific services. When the user signs up for these services, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

    This website may contain links to other sites. Please be aware the Romantic Experiences is not responsible for the privacy of practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware that when they leave our site to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this web site.

    Supplementation of Information

    In order for this website to properly fulfil its obligation to our customers, it is necessary for us to supplement the information we receive with information from third party sources. For example, to determine if our customers qualify to use a credit card, we use their name to request a credit report. Once we determine a user’s credit worthiness, this document is destroyed.

    Correction/Updating Personal Information

    For email subscribers you will be able to update your information (name, email address and interests) within the ‘Email’ section of the site. For customers, you will have an opportunity to change your details when you next make a purchase.

    Notification of Changes

    Any change to our privacy policy will be made on this website. This means our customers are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and how, if under any circumstances, we disclose it.

    Promotions/ Competitions

    Romantic Experiences runs promotions and competitions from time to time where competitions and prizes are in place. Romantic Experiences reserves the right to exclude and cancel any entries or participants if they are deemed to be outside of 'fair practice'. This is decided at the sole discretion of Romantic Experiences and no correspondence will be entered into. Romantic Experiences Staff and past employees are not eligible for any games, promotions, or competitions run by Romantic Experiences .
